The National Justice Project Are in Adelaide Supporting the Family of Wayne Morrison

The National Justice Project sends its respects and condolences to the family of Wayne Fella Morrison, who died in September 2016 after being restrained and put face down in the prison van at Yatala Prison in northern Adelaide.

We are working closely with Wayne’s family who had to confront a video which showed guards leaning on their family memberĀ  as they restrained him.

The inquest heard that seven prison guards at the centre of an inmate death in custody in South Australia have refused to provide statements to police over the incident. For more information you can read the news reports by clicking on the links in the images below:
