You’re invited to Walk for Justice NSW 2022 to celebrate 640,000+ pro bono hours donated by the Australian legal sector every year.
Lace up your joggers: on Tuesday 17 May, National Pro Bono Day, we’re inviting our community to to join us in the Walk for Justice NSW 2022!
This year, we’re running the Walk for Justice NSW with our friends at the Refugee Advice & Casework Service as a virtual walk – so no matter where you are on Tuesday 17 May, you can be part of it!
The Walk for Justice NSW is all about celebrating positive impact that legal pro bono work has on social justice in Australia, including the 640,000+ pro bono hours donated by the legal sector every year!
As a human rights legal centre providing pro bono representation to our courageous clients, we’re passionate about the power and impact of pro bono work. After all, we donate nearly 19,000 hours of pro bono work to social justice every year!
As well as enjoying a meaningful walk around your workplace or community, participants can donate to, or raise funds for, the National Justice Project and/or the Refugee Advice and Casework Service.
We’re proud to partner with the Refugee Advice & Casework Service on this event. Running now for 35 years, RACS provides free legal advice, assistance and representation for asylum seekers in Australia, and independently advocates for refugee and asylum seeker rights.
